We are currently seeking an Accounting and Reporting Analyst to join our Finance team at Altria Client Services group in the Richmond, VA area! You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial information, analyzing and reporting on financial results, and assisting in evaluating accounting policies and guidance to apply to our business.

Job Duties

* You will coordinate and resolve necessary monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
* You'll prepare monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reporting and financial documents in accordance with US GAAP.
* You will support the preparation of SEC filings, such as Forms 10-K and 10-Q. Compile and/or prepare support for financial statement footnotes and other included financial disclosures.
* You'll participate in partnerships with members of the Finance organization to determine proper accounting treatment of transactions.
* You will assist in the implementation of new accounting infrastructure and policies due to issuance of new GAAP or SEC guidance.

Specific Skills

Qualifications include

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required.
* Professional designation (CPA, CIA, CFA) or Master’s degree, preferred.
* Up to 4 years of work experience in Public Accounting, Corporate Accounting or Reporting, Corporate Audit or Financial Planning & Analysis.
* Knowledge of accounting & reporting standards (US GAAP and SEC).
* Experience preparing, analyzing or auditing financial documents and footnotes.
* Capable of working independently and as part of a team comprised of diverse backgrounds across the entire Altria organization.
* Interest in rotating throughout Finance & Accounting to build financial acumen and business knowledge.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
