We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Manager, Production Support to join our team in Richmond, VA. You will develop, analyze, recommend, and provide decision support on short and long range hourly employee staffing for Primary Processing, Cigarette Manufacturing, Operations Support, & Maintenance Technical Services in conjunction with factory capacity planning.

What will you be doing?

* You will forecast hourly employee attrition and hiring based on near and long-range capacity planning and financial targets
* You'll lead, analyze, track and oversee hourly staffing to recommend the number and timing of hourly shift balances, departmental transfers, and new operator promotional training
* You will collaborate with the training department on the scheduling of new operator and other cross training
* You will co-develop Cigarette Manufacturing's variable budget in collaboration with the Cigarette Manufacturing Department
* You'll initiate end of month inventory activities and provide monthly tobacco usage report to Primary
* You will build, maintain, and report on Pay for Performance scorecards for Phillip Morris, USA
* You'll identify staffing productivity opportunities and perform business case analysis to include financial impact
* You will serve as liaison between Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers Union and management to resolve staffing issues
* You will provide coverage for the Staffing Business Unit Leader role in times of need

Specific Skills

What does you experience look like?

* You possess a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 3 years of experience or possess a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
* Having a detailed knowledge of Primary Processing, Cigarette Manufacturing, and Finished Product supply chain preferred
* You have an ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to internal and external partners
* You have highly developed interpersonal skills necessary to lead diverse, cross functional project teams
* You possess highly developed analytical skills to execute root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement
* You have well-developed end-user level computer skills
* You have advanced end-user skill level in Tableau and/or other analytics and reporting software
