We are currently seeking an Auditor to join our Internal Audit team at Altria Client Services group in the Richmond, VA area! In this role you will gain a deep understanding of how our businesses operate across the enterprise. You will evaluate Altria's control environment and communicate results and recommendations to senior leadership.

Job Description

* You will understand our business operations and processes, recognize relevant business risks, and evaluate controls in place to adequately mitigate these risks.
* You’ll plan and conduct risk-based audits of varying complexity across the Altria enterprise.
* You will perform audit testing to assess the design and effectiveness of controls and processes in high risk areas and communicate findings to business partners.
* You’ll develop audit tools and testing approaches that lead to control weakness identification, process improvements, and cost savings.
* Using data analytics, you will facilitate audit scoping and testing, and produce meaningful insights shared using data visualization.
* You’ll gain experience and business knowledge needed to position your career path within other disciplines across Altria.

Specific Skills:

* You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years hands-on auditing in public accounting or private industry.
* A professional designation (CPA/CIA) and Master’s degree is highly desirable.
* Proven knowledge of auditing techniques, theories, and standards.
* You are a self-starter with proven verbal and written communication skills, as well as research, project management, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven experience utilizing data analytics to drive efficiencies and insights within audits.
* You can identify risk/exposure and develop/execute audit testing in assigned areas.
* The ability to travel (domestic/international) up to 10-15% of the time.
