Department: Financial Planning & Analysis for Philip Morris USA (Manufacturing)
Location: Richmond, VA

You will work in our world class manufacturing facility that produces our iconic Marlboro brand as well as other popular cigarette brands. You will report directly to the Plant Controller and we will rely on your expertise to improve financial performance at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will have the guidance and support you need and the autonomy you want.

Your contributions will include:
• Assisting the Plant Controller in ad-hoc analysis and presentations to the Plant Leadership Team
• Providing accounting, forecasting and financial analysis for Cigarette Manufacturing Facility:
o Preparing monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations
o Generating Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow positions of Cost of Goods Sold, Fixed Manufacturing Expense, Inventories and Capital Expenditures
o Leading the monthly review process of manufacturing position with variances vs. forecast
• Working with Operations to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual governmental reports
• Identifying ongoing productivity opportunities to reduce overall manufacturing costs
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and assisting with audits

Specific Skills

Does this describe you?
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of business experience with a focus on accounting (preferably cost accounting), auditing (preferably manufacturing / consumer products), financial reporting, financial analysis or budgeting
• Proficient computer skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, large ERP Systems (i.e. SAP), preferred
• Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills
• Team player who is willing to help out other team members as necessary, which contributes to creating a positive culture
• Professional designation (including CPA, CMA) or Master’s degree is a plus

Retirement /Savings
Deferred Profit-Sharing (DPS) Plan
• Personal Contribution: You can generally contribute up to 35% of your base salary (pre-tax, after-tax and/or Roth) subject to IRS contribution limits.
• Company Profit-Sharing Contribution: After one year of service, you will be eligible to receive an annual DPS contribution of 8, 10, or 12% of your base salary, depending on Altria Group’s earnings per share growth.
• Company Match: If you contribute to the Plan, you will be eligible for a dollar-for-dollar match of what you contribute, up to 3% of your base salary, after just 90 days of service.
