Areas you may begin your career at Altria and rotate throughout your career may include: Corporate Audit, Accounting & Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations and Corporate Planning.

Specific Skills

Desired skills necessary to succeed across the Finance organization are:

• Displays openness and curiosity to develop plans to stay ahead of change
• Challenges the status quo and brings new ideas and executes process innovation and simplification
• Uses effective, concise verbal and written communication to present to appropriate audiences and works to improve influencing skills
• Identifies diverse perspectives and shares input that drive results, while respecting and valuing input from others
• Displays strong problem identification and complex problem solving skills and presents recommendations to management
• Trains and guides others, leading development of new ideas and activities
• Actively supports/provides guidance in planning and prioritizing new and existing projects and processes

Specific qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Professional designation (including CPA, CIA, CFA) or Master’s degree desired
• Three to six years of business experience with a focus on accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, or auditing is preferred
• Some roles may include 15-20% travel, domestic and international
