Are you an authority on quality processes and procedures, looking to drive quality at a leading consumer packaged goods company? Do you have an associate degree or at least 5 years of meaningful experience? If so, then we have an opportunity for you.

We are seeking an Inspector Quality Manufacturing to join our US Smokeless Tobacco quality team here in Richmond, VA. You will use tried techniques and quality tools to monitor and inspect processes and packaging operations in a manufacturing environment. Also, you will perform laboratory procedures, inspect products, measure process performance, record data, and look for ways to improve the Quality Management System.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

* Utilizing established sampling/inspection plans and procedures, perform analytical evaluations to monitor quality attributes to assure compliance to specified requirements.
* Performs moderately complex tasks and analyses with minimal supervision demonstrating proficiency with a range of techniques.
* Document, analyze & report test results and communicate to QA Management and Manufacturing.
* Assess data for compliance to specifications, assures the initiation of remedial actions for potential out-of-control conditions and deviations.
* Verify/Calibrate of laboratory & processing equipment and adjust accordingly within a predefined and limited protocol.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, document and validate new WI's or improve existing documentation.
* Attend Natural Work Team meetings and support the Quality Star Point
* Provides training and guidance for contractors and FQA personnel

Specific Skills

Education/Experience Preferences

* Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school or 5 years of work experience.
* Bachelor's degree in Biology/Science plus 1 year of work experience preferred
* Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Auditor is preferred.
* Qualified and Proficient in four of the seven Factory Quality Assurance support operations: Packing, Pouch, Plastics, Incoming Materials Acceptance Process, 1P Lab, 2P Lab, Dry/WB Lab
