We have an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst in Nashville, TN. In this role you will work in one of our several manufacturing facilities that produce our Copenhagen brand as well as many other popular smokeless brands. You will report directly to the Plant Controller, and we will rely on your expertise to improve financial performance at our manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will have the guidance and support you need and the autonomy you want!

Job Description

* You will assist the Plant Controller in adhoc analysis and presentations to the plant leadership team.
* You'll provide accounting, forecasting and financial analysis for up to three manufacturing facilities.
* You will prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations.
* You'll generate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow positions of cost of goods sold, fixed manufacturing expenses, inventories and capital expenditures.
* You will lead the monthly review process of manufacturing position with variances vs. forecast.
* You'll work with Operations to prepare governmental reporting (monthly/quarterly/annually).
* You will identify ongoing productivity opportunities to reduce overall manufacturing costs.
* You'll ensure compliance with internal policies and assist with audits.

Specific Skills

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 1 to 3 years of business experience with a focus on accounting (preferably cost accounting), auditing (preferably manufacturing/consumer products), financial reporting, financial analysis or budgeting is preferred.
* Proficient computer skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, large ERP Systems (i.e. SAP, JDE).
* Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.
* Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
* Team player who is willing to help out other team members as necessary, which contributes to creating a positive culture.
* Willingness to relocate to Richmond, VA within 2 to 4 years for development opportunities.
* Professional designation (including CPA, CMA) or Master’s degree a plus.
