Information Technology Auditor
Internal Audit department - Richmond, VA

Add your talents to the Altria Client Services Internal Audit team, while gaining a deep understanding of how our businesses operate across the enterprise. Help us drive results by providing business and technical expertise in evaluating the IT control environment and communicating results and recommendations to senior leaders of the Altria family of companies.

At Altria, we want you to:

• Understand our business operations and systems, recognize relevant business risks, and evaluate technical capabilities for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of company data and resources.
• Plan and conduct risk-based audits focused on the IT control environment and technical capabilities supporting Financial, Operational and Compliance obligations across the enterprise.
• Perform audit testing to assess the design and effectiveness of IT controls and processes in high risk areas, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop audit tools and testing approaches in technical areas to enhance our capabilities in identifying technical control weaknesses, process improvements, and cost savings.
• Build capability and help grow our people and teams by providing indirect supervision of audit staff, coordinating assignments and assisting the Director as needed.
• Develop leadership experience and technical expertise related to Altria’s business operations and IT environment to position your career path as an IT Risk Management Security Professional.

Specific Skills

Does this describe you?

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, preferably, with 3+ years hands-on experience in information security, IT auditing, IT project management or IT operations in public accounting, private industry or consulting. Professional designation (CISA/CISSP/CRISC) and Master’s degree is desired.
• A detailed understanding of IT auditing techniques, including a broad knowledge of IT technologies, operating systems, databases and application platforms.
• A working knowledge of modern networking technologies and network security controls.
• Strong problem-solving, verbal & written communication, research, data analysis, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify risk/exposure and develop/execute audit testing over the technical control environment.
• Willingness to travel (domestic & international) approximately 15-20%.
