Are you a data hacker, a translator and storyteller, looking to lead a team of Analysts at a Fortune 200 company, driving insight into action? Do you have 5+ years of analytics experience along with analytics strategy leadership? If so, we want to speak with you about the Sr. Manager Advanced Analytics position that we are looking to fill in the Schaumburg, IL area.

What will you be doing?

• You will provide analytical leadership within a Sales Region, driving, evaluating, leading and growing the Regions analytical skill set.
• You will lead and develop an analytics team, making sure it is a team of teams. The team will be a network that collaborates, builds efficiencies and generates actionable insights.
• You have the analytical chops to:
• Make discoveries while swimming in data
• Bring structure to large quantities of data to make analytical insights possible
• Understand rich sources of data and how to join them to craft a complete picture
• You will help decision makers shift from ad hoc analysis to an ongoing conversation with data
• You will solicit insights and feedback from partners to influence the creation of current and future analytics tools and methods for assigned business units.
• You’ll deliver state level, market and key account insights based on analysis that influence assigned business units’ strategy and execution.
• You’ll collaborate with partners to identify, test and implement methodologies, data needs and processes to provide insights on the effectiveness of trade programs, product promotions, business improvements funds, and inventory opportunities across operating companies and multiple brand plans.

Specific Skills

What does your background, skills and experience look like?

• You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, we prefer it to be in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing Research, Management Information Systems, etc.
• You have 5+ years of experience in an analytics role, preferably in Sales or CPG
• We prefer that you have organizational leadership experience
• You have a high aptitude for critical thinking, an analytical mindset that can translate the insight into action with an impact
• You possess highly developed analytical capabilities, and data science expertise
• You have working knowledge of SQL, SAS, Python, R or similar and data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• We want you to have a track record of developing creative and effective analysis to identify business opportunities and translate complex findings into actionable insights
• You have experience in managing a team in broad based analytic roles
• You are a strong strategic and analytical thinker with proven capabilities of in-depth data analysis (e.g., POS scan data, IRI, shipments)
• You're a leader that enjoys teaching, inspiring, and motivating
• You are self-aware, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to simplify and communicate priorities.
• You have strong written and verbal skills with a proven ability to communicate abstract technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• You possess executive presence with the ability to communicate to all levels of an organization
• Limited domestic travel required
